About me and how I work
Helping others has always been a powerful motivation and, following my own life experience, I became a counsellor and psychotherapist as a meaningful and effective way to support individuals.
I am fully qualified and accredited by both the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and also the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) as a Registered Individual Member. Having trained as an Integrative, Transpersonal Psychotherapist I have experience in various approaches including:
Having experience in many areas helps tailor sessions and an approach to you rather than having to fit to a rigid method - and also means there are varied tools in the cupboard we can try as appropriate.
I've now been active for over 12 years, initially setting-up and running cancer support groups at The Olive Tree (then affiliated to Macmillan Cancer Support and Crawley NHS Hospital).

Being a therapist doesn't mean being in a completely different world!
In addition to qualifying in Psychotherapy and Counselling, I have previously been had considerable corporate and charity management experience and my orginal degree is in Mechanical Engineering. I also spent 5 years in the RAF VRT.
